This is the second in a series of five catalogues photographed by Irving Penn. It is interesting to note that Miyake and Penn never met during a photoshoot. Miyake would simply ship his collection to the photographer’s studio and give him complete artistic freedom in his method of presenting the fashion. The catalogues were not for sale but were presented to random customers and friends. Works 259.
