An overview on the various types, artistic motives, and usages of bamboo in Japan with photographic contributions by the famous photographers Ishimoto Yasuhiro (1921-2012), Hamaya Hiroshi (1915-1999), and Otsuji Kiyoji (1923-2001). This book was designed by Studio NS, which had been founded by Otsuji, one of the most influential post-war photographers of Japan, under the name ‘Graphic Group’ in 1953.
